All CSTO peacekeepers, military equipment and weapons have returned to their countries from Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported to RIA Novosti.
It should be reminded that the RA Armed Forces sent a peacekeeping unit (100 servicemen) to the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the CSTO peacekeeping forces.
During the mission, the peacekeeping unit of the RA Armed Forces carries out functions of protection of exclusively strategic buildings and infrastructures.
To recall, the protest actions in Kazakhstan started in the first days of the New Year. Residents of the town of Janaoze and Aktau protested against the doubling of the price of liquefied natural gas, which the Ministry of Energy explained by the fact that from 1 January, prices on the electronic stock exchange began to form on the basis of supply and demand.
It should be noted that a state of emergency has been declared in the country amid mass unrest.
