The issue of electing the Deputy-Chairman was discussed at the sitting of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly.
The right to nominate a candidate passed to the ruling faction.
The “Civil Contract” faction has decided not to nominate a candidate, to leave the post vacant.
“This statement gives a reason for the commission not to hold sittings to elect a vice-chairman until we have a candidate nomination. I have understood that the faction is leaving this position vacant, allowing the “Armenia” faction to come and sit and discuss who they want to see except Mr. Ghazinyan, otherwise it will remain vacant,” Andranik Kocharyan said.
