State of Emergency has been declared in Kazakhstan

State of Emergency has been declared throughout Kazakhstan. “Mir-24” TV channel informed that TASS News Agency reported about this today, on 5 January.

Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared a two-week state of emergency in Mangistau and Alma-Ata regions, as well as in Alma-Ata and Nur-Sultan.

It should be reminded that the protest actions in Kazakhstan started in the first days of the New Year. Residents of the town of Janaoze and Aktau protested against the doubling of the price of liquefied natural gas, which the Ministry of Energy explained by the fact that from 1 January, prices on the electronic stock exchange began to form on the basis of supply and demand.
