Vigen Khachatryan, a deputy of the “Civil Contract” faction of the National Assembly, addressed the CSTO during his speeches in the National Assembly, referring to the situation on the border.

“Azerbaijani authorities are carrying out another impudent provocation against the Republic of Armenia. The cup of patience of the Armenian people and ours, as a representative of the people, can be filled. The behavior of the CSTO goes beyond all bounds of politeness, this is unacceptable. I think that first of all Russia and the CSTO are obliged to fulfill their responsibilities. This does not mean that we connect our destiny and all our hopes with this structure,” the NA deputy mentioned.

According to him, Azerbaijan is not a threat, the Armenian side simply does not want new victims, new wounded, “But if there is a need, we are ready for it.”

“I think that if our allies are not able to fulfill their responsibilities, we can have other allies, so that no one will hinder us in that choice. I think that we, as legislators, are obliged to apply to our partners so that they fulfill their responsibilities,” Vigen Khachatryan said.
