By the decision of the Government on 29 July, 3 billion 459 million drams were allocated for the purchase of Chinese Sinopharm and German Pfizer vaccines.
According to the acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, 163 thousand doses for vaccinations against Covid-19 have already been carried out in Armenia.
500 thousand doses of vaccine will be purchased, for 250 thousand people – 2 doses for each.
In response to the question of Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Avanesyan also referred to the activity of the vaccination process.
“Vaccination activity is constantly growing. And we have vaccinated 163,000 people,” Avanesyan said. According to the Acting Minister, the rapid supply of vaccines obtained as a result of the Government’s decision will stimulate the vaccination process. “This is the strongest guarantee to have more vaccinated people in the fall, at the beginning of the new academic year,” Avanesyan said.
