The Kremlin considers Washington’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire an internal US affair. Spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters on 26 April. TASS news agency reported.
It should be reminded that in his address to the Armenian people on 24 April, US President Joe Biden officially recognized the Armenian Genocide for the first time among US presidents. Biden used the term “genocide” in his message.
It should be noted that in recent days rumors have been circulating that Biden intends to recognize the Armenian Genocide. US media quoted sources in the US presidential administration saying that Biden had even informed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of his intention.
