Garik Galstyan and Gevorg Martirosyan are childhood friends. They took part in hostilities since the first day of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh on 27 September.
“We took part in the battles in almost all parts, first we were in Omar for 10 days, then we went to Yeghnikner, we came back and went to Shushi,” Garik Galstyan said.
“We joined Shahen Meghryan’s detachment, participated in the defense of Shushi, and were wounded on 31 October,” Gevorg Martirosyan said.
Childhood friends say that after becoming comrades-in-arm they became closer. “You can leave a stranger on the battlefield, you do not know who he is, he does not know who you are, it is important to go to the battlefield with a friend,” Garik Galstyan said.
