Accompanied by Russian peacekeeping forces and military police, 1,207 people have returned to Nagorno-Karabakh since 14 November after fleeing hostilities. The Russian Defense Ministry informs.
“On 16 November, 482 people returned to Nagorno Karabakh from the territory of the Republic of Armenia accompanied by the Russian peacekeeping forces and military police,” the statement reads.
By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 10 November, 2020, the deployment of Russian peacekeepers continues in Nagorno Karabakh. The base of the military is the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District. The commander of the peacekeepers is Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
In order to control the observance of the ceasefire regime in Nagorno Karabakh, the Russian peacekeepers have deployed 18 observation points in the Southern and Northern areas of responsibility.
