The President of France Emmanuel Macron welcomed the agreement on the establishment of a humanitarian truce between Armenia and Azerbaijan at midnight, emphasizing that it must be strictly respected by both sides. The Reuters reported, citing a statement issued by the President’s Office.

“That ceasefire must be unconditional, strictly observed by both sides. France will follow this very closely. It will abide by its commitment to end hostilities forever, so that confidence-based talks can begin quickly,” the president’s office said in a statement.
