Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone during telephone conversations with Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers Jeyhun Bayramov and Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Saturday.
“During the talks, the need to maintain the ceasefire reached on October 10 by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia was stressed,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
They also “reaffirmed the importance of the agreement reached in Moscow on the launch of substantive talks in order to reach a speedy peaceful settlement on the basis of fundamental principles through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.”
