Yesterday all night and today, on the morning of 7 October, the battles continued. During the night, the enemy tried to gather forces in the Araks valley, along the Araks, to move forward. Our reconnaissance units retaliated against the enemy’s actions, confirmed in time that they had inflicted heavy damage on the enemy through accurate missile and artillery fire, and carried out about 3 rallies, firing well on well-armed brigades, destroying the group.

The representative of the RA Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan said about this during the press conference.

“That military group suffered significant losses, several dozen dead, a considerable number of armored vehicles, some of which were left unharmed and fled the battlefield. Azerbaijani units, military units often try to use the Araks border while concentrating in that area, in connection with which we called on the Iranian side to follow these actions and not to allow the river to cross,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.

He mentioned that other accurate strikes during the day, which have already been presented, for example, the destruction of the oil product base, including the military unit located next to the base, with about 200 servicemen.

“The units of the Defense Army are making significant progress in the northern direction, significant positional improvements were announced,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.

Throughout the day, the Azerbaijani armed forces fired on the civilian population, Stepanakert, Shushi and other settlements with long-range rocket and other air strikes.

“Our troops continue to confidently win on different fronts. The battles are difficult, they are heavy, the enemy uses great forces and means,” he said.
