Member of the Yerevan Council of the Elders Armen Kotolyan reports:
“There is no information on casualties at the moment of the explosion (i.e. we have no casualties at the moment).
According to the Prime Minister, all the injured citizens will be transferred to a hotel until the issue of their housing is resolved.
The rescuers continue the rescue work.”
Hakob Karapetyan, spokesman for the mayor of Yerevan, says that 12 apartments on the same entrance have partially collapsed. “Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan instructed the relevant subdivisions of the municipality to provide temporary shelters to the residents suffered in the explosion. Specialists will study the seismic resistance of the partially collapsed building and the issue of further restoration based on it.
The area will be cleared after the search and the end of the investigation. ”
