The third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan begins to answer the questions of public Interest.

According to the President’s Office, before the sitting of the RA NA Investigative Committee on 16 April, the third RA President promised the journalists to hold a press conference immediately after the end of the state of emergency, to answer all the questions related to the April events during the first meeting.

“Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the state of emergency in our country, which is constantly prolonged, however, made it impossible to organize a press conference with such a format, due to which the format of short videos was chosen.

It will not replace the planned traditional press conferences, but will precede them only in the current situation,” the president’s office informed.

Serzh Sargsyan stated that he regrets that the failed fight against the epidemic and, as a result, the constant extension of the state of emergency do not allow him to fulfill his promise.

“But questions from the past must be completed,” Serzh Sargsyan said.

He emphasized that there can be no return to the past.

“But it is also unequivocal that it is impossible to achieve a good future without correctly imagining the past. The history of Armenia, the history of newly independent Armenia, cannot begin in April 2018,” he said.

The third President of the Republic of Armenia stated that all possible forces should be united and move forward.
