More than 25 People were detained on Friday Night in the South-East of Moscow

“More than twenty-five people were detained on Friday night in the Maryino area in the southeast of the capital due to a series of robberies and hooliganism,” Interfax «Interfax» reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the capital.

“On the night of July 24, a number of conflicts between citizens occurred in the Moscow district of Maryino. In one of them, the man was injured and the car in which he was, damaged,” the department said.

The head office reported that in addition, on Friday night, there was an incident in one of the cafes, where unknown persons, threatening visitors and staff, stole money from the cash register, damaged property, and then fled from the scene.

Based on these facts, criminal cases were initiated under Art. 213 (hooliganism) and 162 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In addition, in accordance with the migration legislation of the Russian Federation, detainees who are foreigners may be restricted from entering Russia for five years, the Ministry of Internal Affairs added.

Later, an informed source told Interfax that a series of conflict situations on Friday night in Maryino occurred between people from the Caucasus.

“At the intersection of Pererva Street and Perervinsky Boulevard there was a conflict between about 50 people from Transcaucasia, which escalated into a fight,” the source said.

In addition, according to his information, mass brawls also took place near the Bratislavskaya metro station and at the intersection of Lyublinskaya and Nizhnie Polya streets.

Armenian-Azerbaijani relations worsened against the background of the escalation of the conflict on the border of the two countries. The fighting continued with intervals from 12 July.
