Italian-Armenians transferred 4,600 Euros to Armenia to fight Coronavirus

Hayastan All-Armenian Fund informs that the Committee of the Italian All-Armenian Fund transferred 4,600 Euros to the fundraising campaign initiated by the Foundation against the coronavirus.

“This amount was specially collected and intended for the annual commemoration ceremony of the Armenian Genocide on April 24 by the Union of Armenians of Italy, which, for obvious reasons, will not take place this year. The Italian branch of the foundation, headed by Paykar Svazlian and membership of Kevork Orfalian and Armine Pampakian, donated the money to save the lives of their compatriots in Armenia. Our hearts and minds are with the people of Italy and the thousands of Armenians living there who consider Italy their home.

Italy joins other Armenian communities and individuals around the world in supporting the Fund’s fundraising campaign, including the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Russia. To date, $ 125,091 has been raised and about $ 250,000 worth of medical equipment and supplies have been sent to Armenia and Artsakh.
