An extraordinary hearing will be convened at the Yerevan Court of First Instance to discuss Manvel Grigoryan’s measure of restraint. Head of Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office Arevik Khachatryan told this to Iravaban.net.

“Today, at 18:00pm, the Prosecutor’s Office initiated an extraordinary court hearing to discuss the expediency of changing the mesure of restraint of Manvel Grigoryan on the basis of worsening of his health condition,” she said.

Manvel Grigoryan was transferred to the intensive care unit yesterday.

Notably: Manvel Grigoryan is accused of committing a crime under Article 235 (2) of the RA Criminal Code (“Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices by a group of persons”).

Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code.
