Today, on January 21, in the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan, Levon Baghdasaryan lawyer of former MP Manvel Grigoryan’s petitioned to allow sending Grigoryan to France for treatment. The court informed that Grigoryan is still in the intensive care unit.
“His illnesses are getting worse, and Grigoryan’s relatives want to send him to treatment. Please take into consideration the fact that a person’s life is in danger,” Levon Baghdasaryan said.
Notably on January 15, Manvel Grigoryan’s measure of restraint was changed and his arrest was replaced by a signature not to leave.
Manvel Grigoryan is accused of committing a crime under Article 235 (2) of the RA Criminal Code (“Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices by a group of persons”).
Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code.
