The court hearing on the case of Hayk Alexander Sargsyan, the nephew of RA 3rd President Serzh Sargsyan, has been summoned today at the Shengavit residence of the Yerevan Court of First Instance.

Artur Ghevondyan testified about Hayk Sargsyan’s case.

Judge Anna Danibekyan, presiding over the hearing, asked the witness what kind of relationship Hayk and David had after the incident, and the witness noted that they were friendly.

Touching upon Davit Simonyan’s treatment, Arthur Ghevondyan noted that they had taken him to hospital and taken care:

“People have done it, in a luxurious room, and so on …,” he said.

Prosecutor Abgar Arakelyan made a motion, noting that there were contradictions with the testimony during the preliminary investigation and trial.

“I think the testimony given during the preliminary investigation should be made public,” Abgar Arakelyan said.

The court decided to grant the prosecutor’s motion.

It should be reminded according to the indictment, Hayk Sargsyan, on 1 April at around 4 pm in the room located on the ground floor of apartment 14 of building 11 in Tumanyan Street, Yerevan where he was registered, shot in Davit Simonyans abdomen from an illegally acquired and maintained pistol “SIGSAUER” with a purpose of intentional deprivation of life. However could not complete the crime due to circumstances beyond his will.
