“Our position in the peaceful settlement of the Artsakh issue is unchanged, and the consistent strengthening and modernization of the Armenian army is a daily work,” Serzh Sargsyan said.

In response to the questions of the MPs, he also touched upon the Four-Day April War of 2016, noting that the April War was a surprise and at the same time was not a surprise.

“The first lesson learned from the April War should be considered that, we should never hope that the Azerbaijani leadership will abandon its proactive approaches, desire to solve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by force at least for a very long time. As far as the Azerbaijani leadership succeeded to implement their programs, I think the image of today’s picture on line of contact is not true,” Serzh Sargsyan said.

According to Serzh Sargsyan, it is necessary to pay the greatest attention to the reform of the Armenian Armed Forces, the acquisition of new armament, the production of own armament, and most importantly, keeping the spirit of the Armenian soldier and officer alive, solving their daily problems in daily life, and their confidence in any situation in future.
