The Ministry of Education and Science in some strategic documents prioritizes the school governance system, especially in the priority areas of education and science, as well as programs for reducing corruption risks in the education sector, in particular reviewing the procedures of formation of councils, certification of the directors and selection. Issues related to raising the efficiency of school management boards and the work of directors were discussed during the working meeting held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia headed by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Davit Sahakyan. Representatives of non-governmental organizations and civil society, National Institute of Education, Education Inspectorate, Center of Strategic Initiatives of the Government and the Ministry participated in the discussion.

During the meeting, the presentation of the report “Problems of Management System in Public Schools and Prospects of Reforms”, which was implemented with the support of the Asian Development Bank, was presented, which as the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Davit Sahakyan the noted by was developed in the light of anti-corruption struggle.
