“They try not to allow some advocates to enter the court, because they may reveal the truth”, advocate Nina Karapetyants said in an interview to Iravaban.net today, on September 14. Today, she was not allowed to enter the courtroom to attend the regular court session of the case on the armed group “Sasna Tsrer”, because she refused to be searched by the bailiffs.
She said that she never refused to be examined, but when they started to make unlawful demands and to open her bag, she refused.
“I only said that there is no forbidden item in my bag, even if I do not agree with the list of the forbidden items. I mentioned that I have only bacteria, which are the indivisible part of my organism. It is impossible to release them from me. But if they have a method to leave the bacteria in the cell, then I am ready to leave them”, said the advocate.
Nina Karapetyants mentioned that she realizes their intention to present a maximal detailed list to avoid debates with the advocates, but she does not understand what the reason for not allowing her to enter the court for the last three months is.
The advocate also fears, that the list of the items declared forbidden by the Council of Courts’ Chairmen, where it is mentioned what is not allowed to bring to the courtroom, will disrupt their professional work, as it is not excluded that an advocate may bring to the court such an item or a proof, which was not discussed in the court previously.
