On 15 May, the RA Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan and the Chairwoman of the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials of the RA signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The Memorandum is aimed to ensure support and cooperation in providing information to the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials from the databases of the Ministry of Justice. The Ministry of Justice will provide to the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials information from the unified electronic State Register of Civil Status Registration and the State registration of Legal Entities Register.
The RA Minister of Justice attached importance to the initiative and whished success to the start of this cooperation. He also said that all state bodies are obliged to contribute to effective activity of the Commission on Ethics and added that it was crucially important in the contest of the anti-corruption policy in our country, as the activities of the Commission are related to the problems of fight against corruption. The Minister also noted that the commission will have access to the data of two valuable databases in the framework of the memorandum, which will contribute to the efficient operation of the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials.
Siranush Sahakyan, the Chairwoman of the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials, also emphasized the importance of the Memorandum and said that it was aimed to ensure effective realization of the already established system.
