The head of the community, being an official, on August 26, 2013 concluded an agreement on purchase of contractual works with an LL Company, according to which the Company was to carry out works of partial repairs in the community for 3 million 290 thousand RA drams till October 16, 2013, informs the SIS.

Not accomplishing the works within the stated terms, the head of the community, starting from personal interests, instead of the determined sum provided metal pipes of 1000mm diameter belonging to the community costing 4 million 810 thousand RA drams by a goods for work exchange scheme causing substantial damage to lawful interests of the community.
On incident of exceeding official powers the head of the community was involved as an accused by the criminal case instituted in RA Police Regional Investigation Division pursuant to the features of part 1, Article 308 of RA Criminal Code.

Conditioned by the factual circumstances of the case, starting from the necessity of guaranteeing multi-sided, complete and impartial investigation, RA Prosecutor General has sent the criminal case to RA Special Investigation Service.

Preliminary investigation is in progress.

Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offence is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
