Based on the report filed with the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia it was ascertained that in the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal case reviewed in Shengavit Investigation Department of the Investigation Committee of the Republic of Armenia the police employees threatened and exerted pressure upon the witness Gayane Kh. so as to compel her give testimonies against Defendant Gevorg M. Later, the investigator recorded information inconsistent with the reality during the investigation examination conducted with the involvement of the latters.
Moreover, the police employees searched the car of Armen T. without permission and after the detection of the drugs without recording the given fact they drove him to the Erebuni Police Department where they put the detected drugs in his car and informed him about it. Afterwards, Armen T. took the drugs out of the car in the presence of the invited two witnesses to a search and declared that the given drugs were given to him by some Gevorg.
A criminal case has been launched with regard to the abuse of employment-related powers by the officials and making an employment-related falsification in accordance with Parts 1 of Articles 308 and 314 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
A preliminary investigation is underway.
