In 2014 the number of divorces in the RA totaled to 4600, informs the Official website of the RA ministry of Justice. According to Argam Stepanyan, the head of Civil State Registration Agency at the RA Ministry of Justice in 2012 there were around 3400 divorces, in 2013 the number grew till 39000 and in 2014 they totaled to 4600.
Major part of the people that divorce recentlywere born in 1990-s. The source reports that according to the advocate Liana Balayan the main reason for divorces are the western morals and subordination of the family values by the youth, the labor migration as well as legislative shortcomings. One of the reasons for the growth of divorces is that the youth are not serious about mirage.
