Today, at the meeting with the journalist MP Levon Martirosyan from “Heritage” party spoke aboit the murder which took place in Gyumri on 12 January.
Levon Martirosyan mentioned that the case was really unusual, and there were great many absurd hypotheses: “No matter how tragic the case may be, however, the investigation should be held a quality manner. According to us we all are professionals, citizens and politicians; everyone knows that the Armenian side should have arrested the criminal. The fact is that that such extreme case has occurred and it is difficult to quickly decide what to do. There are many questions to ask to our legal authorities and the Russian side, and these questions must be heard. The investigation will have to answer these questions; a fair trial must take place.”
Armen Martirosyan thinks that the activities of the Armenian and Russian law enforcement authorities should be criticized. “There is an inference that the Armenian power structures arrested Valerie Permyakov first and then surrendered him to the Russian side, the side. of the case objectionable behavior. In this case the behavior of the Armenian side should be condemned. In case if haven’t caught him, they again should be criticized that having a considerable potential they failed to detect a person suspected of a crime. The existing legal and contractual documentation allows passing the suspect to our law enforcers,” Mr. Martirosyan said.
