Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan today at the Government session spoke about the fluctuations in the financial market of the RA in mid-December.
He noted that the exchange rate has stabilized, “Te difference between the buy and sell costs of the currency in the currency exchange offices is 3-5 AMD. In addition, on 16-17 December around 94 shops were closed and were not working, however the situation now is stabilized. The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition provides the results of monitoring on everyday basis. The results clearly show that the major stores and gas stations are moving to stabilization as well.
Currently the shops sell products with certain prices, which are not subject to fluctuation,” Mr. Gabrielyan said.
The Minister also reported that the working group had initiated a number of steps, “In particular concept for making fluctuations adjustable will be submitted. We shall present a draft for long-term work. At this point we have a stable situation.”
