A criminal case under the requirements of Part 2 of Article 119, Clause 2 of Part 2 of Article 134 and Part 2 of Article 309 of the RA Criminal Code, was imitated by the Special Investigation Service of the RA based on the report of the citizen Jullieta A.
Special Investigation Service of the RA reports that Mrs. Jullieta A., had reported about the fact of taking her forcedly to the psychiatric hospital with application of violence by the representatives of Yerevan Avan Psychiatric Hospital and the police officers of Malatya Department of Yerevan Police. There she was kept illegally around 1 month and was subjected to torture, in addition the medical staff applied violence against her as well. The preliminary investigation is in process.
Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offence is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
