Today the court sitting on Arthur Sargsyan`s case was postponed at the Court of General Jurisidction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Communities.
Hunan Babayan, lawyer of the defendant was not present at the court sitting. After the Court sitting one of the lawyers of the victims Ashot Safaryan reminded that former Minister of Finances Davit Sargsyan had certain influence on the case. The lawyer clarified. “There is evidence in the case materials according to which Davit Sargsyan has personally lowered a bid so that so-called Artyom Arustamyan (the defendant presented himself in this name) could rise without any identification documents. This is just a fact”.
Besides, the accusing party is going to present a petition so that the transcript of the calls from the former Minister`s 4 phone numbers are presented, there is an assumption that Davit Sargsyan had a call with the defendant.
Arthur Sargsyan has been charged for presenting himself as an official, and in some cases – as a person running a profitable entrepreneurship business abroad, and in the period of September 2008 to March 2012 committed abduction of particularly large amount of property through fraud and abuse of trust with the pretense of business deals with physical or legal entities.
