On 12 July 2012, employees of the police of Catalonia organized a protest action against the government in the square in front of the Municipality of Barcelona. They expressed their disagreement against the budget reductions made by the Government, which shall result considerable reduction of staff and salaries in Catalonian Police.

Participants of the action hold posters against the Catalonian administration claiming them in corruption and inefficient use of the budget means.
In reply to the question of Iravaban.net, one of the participants of the action said that in result of imprudent actions of the Catalonian administration many honest policemen shall become unemployed and be deprived of worthy slary, which in its turn shall reflect on expansion of corruption risks in the police system.
Police vehicles were safeguarding the realization of the protest action near the Governmental administrative building. Police forces were present in two of the vehicles.
