Margarita Sahakyan, forcibly displaced from the occupied Republic of Artsakh, is a participant in wars.
She told in the framework of “Artsakh: Armenian Genocide 2023: Stories of Survivors” that he participated in the 44-day war of 2020.
“On 10 October, at two o’clock, the Azerbaijanis were in Hadrut. 13 women were somehow saved. I have been serving since 2010. In 2020, we had to leave our house and went to Stepanakert,” our interlocutor said.
In 2020, she had to leave her land only for a few days. After 10 November, she returned to Stepanakert and continued her service.
On 19 September, 2023, when the Azerbaijani side unleashed another aggression against Artsakh, Ms. Margarita again took part in combat operations.
Remembering the nine months of the illegal blockade of Artsakh, our interlocutor cannot hold back tears.
“Those days were very difficult for me, I do not even want to remember them. It is sad. There is no way back for the second time, there is no way home,” Margarita Sahakyan said.
