According to the decision of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan, the measure of restraint of MP Levon Kocharyan from leaving the country was changed.

The court decided to apply bail in the amount of 2 million drams.
Levon Kocharyan was detained during the opposition action in Yerevan on 22 September of last year, later he was charged with violence against a policeman, although the policemen hit him in the video recordings of the incident. Levon Kocharyan was arrested on the same day and then detained for 1 month. He was released a few months later only after receiving the parliamentary mandate.

Levon Kocharyan’s lawyers claim that their client did not commit any illegal act and that this is a political persecution against him.
