On 13 February, the staff of HRD has launched a  study on the instruction of Human Rights defender Anahit Manasyan, regarding human rights violations as a result of the actions of Azerbaijani armed forces in the direction of Nerkin Hand sector in Syunik marz.

The Office of the Human Rights Defender reported.

As a result of the fire of the Azerbaijani armed forces in the direction of the Nerkin Hand, the right of the civil population to living in a safe environment, education and other fundamental rights were violated.

The residents told the HRD staff that the shots were clearly audible, as a result of which they were intimidated, were in a state of uncertainty, and were in a state of alarm.

The defender specially emphasizes that the actions of the armed forces of Azerbaijan represent a real threat from the point of view of ensuring the right to life and security of people, education, as well as other fundamental rights.

The work of monitoring and collecting facts related to human rights continues in the staff of the human rights defender.
