Vahagn Vermishyan came to Armenia from Russia, and I know that he took the position of adviser in the Yerevan Municipality without a salary to help in the improvement of the appearance of the capital city. Film director Arshak Zakaryan said in an interview with Iravaban.net.

“I have participated in all his trials. His innocence was completely proven in court. You did npt have to be a lawyer there (in the court) to see that all the unquoted evidence presented by the prosecutor was refuted. Of course, for his political views, I consider Vahagn to be the first political prisoner, because he, being a member of the government, but not being a member of the ruling political team, made such statements that caused the head of the government to have nervous outbursts,” Arshak Zakaryan said.

According to him, they want to silence Vahagn Vermishyan, because it was clear who is behind the problems he raised, and he is now being kept in prison without any evidence on baseless charges.
