A member of the Competition Committee of the Corruption Prevention Commission was appointed by the decision of the Government. The decision specifically states:

“Guided by Article 9, Part 5 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On the Corruption Prevention Commission”, the Government of the Republic of Armenia decides:

To appoint Artur Hovsepyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, a member of the Competition Committee of the Corruption Prevention Commission.

Notably, the National Assembly discussed the election of a member of the Corruption Prevention Commission for two days.

The candidates were Haykuhi Harutyunyan and Narine Avetisyan. None of them was elected.
