They slaughtered children, did all kinds of ugly things to women: The Mother of 10 Children about displacement from Artsakh

Gayane Davityan was at home on 19 September, during the attack of Azerbaijan, they were the last to leave the village of Van in Artsakh. She told in the framework of “Artsakh: Armenian Genocide 2023. Stories of Survivors”  documentary project of Iravaban.net that they moved from the village to Stepanakert, stayed in the cellars for 5 days, and then left their homeland by “Kamaz” vehicle. “We love our Artsakh very much, and never thought that we would leave Artsakh.”

Gayane has 10 children: 7 sons and 3 daughters. Her newborn grandson was also with them.

When crossing the Hakari Bridge, the women were let to pass, and the men were taken down from the car.  Gayane was very scared at that time, she did not know what they would do with the men. “The fear passed when we came to Armenia and learned that the Azerbaijanis will not be able to do anything to us here.”

Gayane also tells about the atrocities committed by Azerbaijanis. She says that there is no question of integration. “They slaughtered children, did all kinds of ugly things to women. We have seen what they do during the past wars fights. TWehey cannot live under the same roof with them.”

They left everything in Artsakh. Now they live in Mrgashat village of Armavir Marz.
