Forcibly Displaced from Artsakh Rena and her Children, One is 3 Months Old, stayed in the Forest at Night

Rena Aghajanyan, who was forcibly displaced from the occupied Republic of Artsakh, told in the framework of “Artsakh: Armenian Genocide 2023. Stories of Survivors” documentary project of Iravaban.net that her family lived in Nor Ghazanchi village of Martakert region..

She remembers how the enemy unleashed another aggression on September 19.

“It was very terrible, the shooting started immediately. We stayed that night in the forest with the children. In the morning we went to Aparadzor village, and from there we were taken to Stepanakert,” our interlocutor said.

According to her, there was no fuel for them to evacuate sooner. They found a way and left, leaving everything there.

“We left the house, we left the car, and we left everything. Somehow we managed to get the children out. We met Azerbaijanis on the roads,” Rena said.

She emphasizes that they could not live there with the integration option offered by Azerbaijan. “How can you live with a Turk?”
