The newly elected Mayor Tigran Avinyan took the oath, assuming the powers of the Mayor, and then made a speech.

He noted that he accepts the past and present difficulties and challenges of the capital, recognizing it not
as a burden, but as a mandate of honor and responsibility, work and mission.

“I assure that I will do everything possible and impossible to make Yerevan a comfortable city for people, so that the citizens of Yerevan share their problems and wishes with us, being sure that the raised problems will be solved, based on the public interest as a principle.

The priority of the public interest is to create the harmonious environment for the development of Yerevan, where our city, preserving its peculiarities and face, will be renewed, improved and even more beautiful,” Avinyan said.

According to the Mayor of Yerevan, he undertakes to reduce the daily worries of a person going to kindergarten, school, university or work as much as possible, making the city more convenient and accessible.
