The events of 19 September started from our house, my grandson called and said that the alarnm was activated, and they were told to enter the shelters. Lyudmila Hayryan told about what they went through to get to Armenia in the framework of “Artsakh: Armenian Genocide 2023. Stories of Survivors” documentary project of Iravaban.net.
There were 11 people in the house, the enemy hit their house, they left everything and entered the shelters, after that they were transferred to Stepanakert airport, waiting for evacuation. They stayed outside, under the walls of the airport, for 2 days. They crossed Hakari Bridge with empty hands by random cars. According to Mrs. Lyudmila, the family was in trouble, but she says that people help a lot.
“We passed the Golgotha road. We are asked whether we were forced to migrate, how can we say no, we left by our own free will. Who can leave his home and place, leave the graves of ancestors and go out on his own free will? How can one live with a nation that cut the neck of a 3-year-old child? They treat people like beasts, they don’t have human language. Genocide in the 21st century, where is it written? People and children lived hungry in the stone silence of the world for 9 months. How can this happen?” Lyudmila Hayryan said and raised a rhetorical question. What is wrong with being born Armenian?
