The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to carry out tasks in the territory of Nagorno Karabakh. Continuous cooperation is maintained with Baku and Stepanakert aimed at preventing bloodshed, ensuring security and maintaining humanitarian rights towards the civilian population.
As it is written in the bulletin of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, since the conclusion of the agreement on the cessation of hostilities, two violations of the ceasefire have been recorded in Askeran region. There were no casualties or injuries. The command of the Russian peacekeeping force is conducting an investigation on these facts in cooperation with the representatives of the Azerbaijani side and Karabakh.
In fulfillment of the agreements reached regarding the cessation of hostilities, the armed forces of Karabakh have started handing over weapons and military equipment under the control of Russian peacekeepers. As of September 22, six units of armored vehicles, more than 800 units of artillery and anti-tank weapons, and about 5,000 ammunitions were handed over.
Russian peacekeepers ensured the delivery of humanitarian supplies to the civilian population of Karabakh through the Lachin Corridor and the Aghdam Road. In total, more than 50 tons of food were delivered.
826 civilians, including 440 children, who are currently unable to return to their homes, are still under the control of the Russian peacekeeping troops,. Their accommodation, food and medical care are organized.
