Moscow treats Yerevan as an ally, contacts between Russia and Armenia may be at the EEC Council on 27 September, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

Overchuk, answering the question about whether relations with Armenia through integration structures have worsened, emphasized that Moscow treats Yerevan as an ally. According to him, on 27 August, a Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission was held, where “everything was fine,”

The Deputy Prime Minister also said that contacts between Russia and Armenia are on the schedule in the near future within the framework of the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission on 27 September.
