Baku did not provide consent to Kasprzyk’s visit to Azerbaijan

The Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk, in addition to his visit to Armenia, also planned to visit Azerbaijan, but according to the Azerbaijani media, the official Baku did not provide consent to that visit.

It is noted that Baku did not see the need for such a visit and “considered it a pointless waste of time”.

On August 25, Andrzej Kasprzyk visited Kornidzor, the starting point of the Lachin Corridor, and got acquainted with the situation there. Kasprzyk arrived in Armenia on the instructions of the Chairman-in-Office Bujar Osmani, to learn about the situation in the Lachine Corridor and to report to the latter. On 16 August, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office announced that he had instructed his personal representative to visit the regions adjacent to the Lachin Corridor, get acquainted with the situation and report to him on the results.
