On the instructions of the Human Rights Defender, the rapid response team of the staff visited the Central Division of Yerevan Police Department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs on the night of 16-17 August within the framework of the case of arresting citizens from Mashtots Grove.
Private interviews were held with the arrested persons – Suren Sahakyan, Vahagn Minasyan and Hayk Sahakyan: their rights were presented as well. The representatives of the HRD staff held discussions with the representatives of the Central Police Division regarding the issues raised during the meeting.
The results of the visit will be summarized and relevant letters will be sent to the competent state bodies.
