Moscow calls on Yerevan and Baku not to take actions that could lead to an increase in tensions

The Kremlin called on Yerevan and Baku to show restraint in connection with the escalation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

To the journalists’ question about what measures Moscow is taking in connection with the next escalation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as a result of which there are victims and wounded, the Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said. “Of course, we expect a restrained approach from the parties, we urge not to take any action that could lead to an increase in tension. We will continue our contacts with both Baku and Yerevan.”

According to Peskov, Russia continues to fulfill its functions, which are provided by tripartite documents.
