The European Union welcomes the four-day negotiations of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington, Toivo Klaar, Designated European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, wrote on his Twitter microblog.

“Encouraging news from Washington. EU welcomes the sustained engagement from Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs in 4 days of negotiations. Progress can only be made through dialogue. We continue to stand with Armenia and Azerbaijan and work with our partners in quest for sustained peace.”
