The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the Press Service of the Kremlin reports.
Prospects for the further development of trade and economic cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy and transport, were discussed in detail.
The current situation in the South Caucasus region was observed. The importance of consistent steps aimed at ensuring stability and security at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was noted.
“In this context, the intention to unconditionally implement the entire range of relevant agreements between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia at the highest level has been confirmed.
An agreement was reached to continue contacts in different formats,” the message states.
