On 23 January, after nearly a year of preparatory work, Yeghishe Kirakosyan, Representative for International Legal Matters presented to the International Court of Justice on behalf of the Republic of Armenia the full complaint and claims of Armenia against Azerbaijan within the framework of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, the Office of the Representative of Armenia for International Legal Matters reports.

“These demands generally refer to the registration of violations and reparation for damages caused as a result of Azerbaijan’s decades’ long policy of hatred and discriminatory treatment of ethnic Armenians and everything Armenian.

As we reported earlier, on 16 September, 2021, Armenia filed a complaint against Azerbaijan on the grounds of violation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. The Court set a deadline for the submission of a complete complaint and evidence until 23 January, 2023,” the message states.
