During a question and answer session with the Government in the National Assembly, Deputy Sargis Khandanyan asked Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about the details of the meeting of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan held in Moscow on 6 December.
“The issue of reopening the Yeraskh-Ordubad Meghri-Horadis railway was discussed. I cannot say that we have any concrete results, unfortunately, but I want to reaffirm that the Republic of Armenia is ready and interested in the implementation of that program and our proposal remains valid,” the Prime Minister said.
Let’s remind that on 6 December, 2022, the 11th session of the tripartite working group was held in Moscow under the co-chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev.
During the session, issues related to the construction of the railway between the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation and in the region, the development of railway communication and the organization of transportation were discussed.
