Azerbaijani cinemas refused to show the feature film “Sisters Apart” about female Kurdish fighters in Iraq. The German Embassy in Azerbaijan had initiated showing the film.

After that, the screening of the film was announced at the “Landmark Plaza” Business Center in Baku. In response, the Azerbaijanis organized a protest in front of the business center, during which pro-Turkish chants were heard. The business center plans to screen the movie next week.
The reason for the protest of the Azerbaijani demonstrators was that the Turkish soldiers in this film are presented as cruel, bloodthirsty people.
