Speaking to the Reuters International News Agency, a senior Turkish official who did not reveal his name said that after completing the operation against the “Kurdistan Workers’ Party” (PKK) in Iraq, they plan to have the next targets in northern Syria.
“The threat created by Kurdish militants and ISIS against Turkey is unacceptable,” he said, stressing that Ankara will somehow neutralize the threats on its southern border.
The Turkish official stated that Syria is a matter of national security for Turkey and work is being done in that direction.
